The Crown Act

This is a scrolling infographic I made that highlights the Crown Act. For anyone who hasn’t heard of it, it stands for “creating a open and respectful world for natural hair.” It was created to combat the discrimination that people with natural hair face in both work and school environments. For this project, I used soft, but bright colors that are commonly used for alphabet hair beads to bring in some childhood nostalgia. This infographic is targeted towards people with natural hair as a reminded that while our hair is not loved by all, it is beautiful and there are steps being taken to change the negative mindset of others.
